Hi again, it's me, Damien Wulfman. Taken by a smoking hot Valkyrie. Emotionally unstable. And tired of supernatural creatures thirsting for my blood.
It's been six months since I helped expose and end a vampire conspiracy involving a nightclub. Since then, I sort of got fired from my post as the Head Enforcer of the Balance. Well, more like quit. When you throw a fireball at your boss, details get a little murky, ya know? I've tried my hand at being a mundane human doing mundane jobs, which is a terrible idea when your biggest strength is bashing heads in.
Enter the Arcane Department of Defense. They hire me as a freelancer to infiltrate a troll fighting ring under the bridges of Central Florida Parkway. My task is to expose a human with a secret, supposedly a secret more sinister than my own. I don't want to be another errand boy, but I need the money. To earn the trust of this secretive human, I have to win a couple tournaments, once again raising the ire of the mermaids.
Oh, and my sexy Valkyrie girlfriend? Yeah, she wants me to meet her parents! No pressure at all, am I right?
In a place like New Orleans, a werewolf and a dude holding a talking head doesn’t really stand out.
I know what you’re thinking. Damien, you’re the underboss of Orlando. Why would you want to leave? Well, I didn’t, but when a zombie head starts talking about a human separatist conspiracy and the history of where Nosferatu came from, I follow the clues, which takes me on a road trip.
Oh, and I’m supposed to be delivering a keynote address to the Assembly of Nine, the governing body of the supernatural world. I was unaware that getting promoted to be the second in command would require responsibility.
Now, my stoner werewolf brother and I hit Bourbon Street where we keep getting distracted, dare I say charmed, and meet some of the colorful locals. After running into the leader of a religious cult who is in league with my father, I feel maybe I’m drawn to New Orleans by design. Something wants me away from the familiar streets of Orlando to cut me off from the Balance.
Laissez les bons temps rouler, my dudes! I’m in in New Orleans, and it ain’t getting easier
The mundane humans know the supernatural is real, and now the world is unbalanced…
Since leaving New Orleans, where a religious extremist infiltrated the Assembly of Nine and exposed the supernatural world, I’ve been quite busy. Between the Seelie Fae, mundane vigilantes thinking they’re keeping the street safe, and learning how to use magic without burning myself, it’s difficult to keep my life and my relationship stable.
Speaking of stability, someone has attempted to assassinate my boss, the immortal Atticus Storm, and nearly succeeds. With the bossman fighting to survive for the first time in two millennia, I step up as the head of the Balance… Well, what’s left of it. Which means taking media requests, board meetings with boring people, and ensuring the orcs in my bar don’t eat the bartenders.
As I struggle to keep this multi-billion dollar not-so-secret empire from crumbling, my father finally makes his way back into my life, and he isn’t alone. The power-hungry demon is eager to sacrifice me so he can ascend to godhood.
My name is Damien Wulfman, and my life is a little f*ked up at the moment.
Parker Dorn is an anxiety attack waiting to happen, and that’s before he’s recruited to recreate the Twelve Labors of Hercules.
Growing up in Central Florida, Parker is like many millennials. He works, he loves coffee, and he has severe anxiety that will not leave him alone. However, he gets blindsided when the retail store he works at closes without warning. In need of income to make rent, he signs up to be a delivery driver, but while out on his first shift, he gets a large order with a giant tip in the ritzy suburbs of Orlando, where he is enlisted for something more than a simple job.
Every couple of years, the Greek gods hold the Hercules Games, where Twelve Champions, mortals chosen by the Twelve Olympians to represent them, recreate the Twelve Labors of Hercules, for Power and Favor. Dionysus, the god of wine, is often too drunk to remember to choose a Champion. So, when Parker shows up to deliver food to cure his hangover, Dionysus proclaims the neurotic delivery driver to represent him for the Games.
As Parker is thrown into the Hercules Games, he quickly learns the old myths and legends are real, and also deadly. Not only is his timid nature a stark contrast to the mad god of confidence he’s chosen to represent, but he also seems to be the only one to notice something is sabotaging the Games.

An author and screenwriter, Wes Cambron only wants one thing: to write. After being diagnosed neurodivergent later in life and meeting his hero, Kevin Smith, Wes typically writes novels and scripts when he isn’t being “Your Favorite Book Bro’s Favorite Book Bro,” arguing with his husky, or plaguing his wife with random wrestling knowledge. He resides in Florida.
Hi, I’m Damien Wulfman. Single, Gemini, emotionally available. And trying really hard to prevent a bloodbath in the streets of Orlando.
Just because I live in the most magical place on Earth doesn’t mean all that magic is kind. It’s a full-time job keeping mundane humans from getting eaten, enchanted, or enslaved by the supernatural world. Luckily for me, most creatures just need one good whack of my charmed bat to keep them in line.
That’s until the local vampire clan decided to open a nightclub in the middle of the touristy part of town. And during peak tourist season, no less. The art of secrecy seems to be lost on them as people begin to go missing around their club.
As an Enforcer of the Balance, this means I need to step in. The vampires don’t take too kindly to someone like me poking around, asking questions, and accidentally uncovering their evil scheme to create an army of bloodsuckers to overthrow my boss!
I either need to come up with a plan or ask for a raise.
